My name is James. Ain't I pretty?
I spent 15 years in the video games industry.
I have a long history of tinkering with electronics, mostly consoles and related hardware, but occasionally other stuff.
If you've seen a certain "Heavily modified" N64 on Youtube, that was me:
Games have long been my principal hobby.
I got my first console in 1990 (Megadrive) and since then I have had pretty much every console released, even obscure ones like the ill-fated Virtual Boy and the Quickshot Supervision.
As time progressed and games became less about fun and imagination and more about "wow! look at the graphix!" and tedious, cookie cutter FPS warsims filled the shelves, I slowly made my way back to the glory days:
The PC Engine had virtually no presence in the UK when I was younger so I never had the opportunity to play it until much later.
I now have 2 Shuttles, 2 Duo R's and an original PCE.
I have already amassed a fair size collection of games and the PCE has become one of my favourites.
